Luiz Paulo Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Alexander Carballo hit a great ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiaguinho Lira in the 4th minute of the match. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Osasco Hot Dogers's Tiaguinho Lira. But to his dismay, Tiaguinho Lira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 13th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Tiaguinho Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Osasco Hot Dogers's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Veiga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Tasis. 22 minutes into the match, Tiaguinho Lira notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In a very dangerous position, a player in Costa Rica fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with Zé Roberto Veiga in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eliseo Noboa charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseo Noboa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

After a rather tough play, Osasco Hot Dogers's Dorival Cordeiro got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Osasco Hot Dogers's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Veiga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got his second yellow card of the match in the 58th minute. The referee ordered Eliseo Noboa off the ground. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Tiaguinho Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. In the 68thth minute of the game Tiaguinho Lira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Axel Tasis struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Zé Roberto Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. 77 minutes into the game, Luiz Paulo Carneiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Luiz Paulo Carneiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiaguinho Lira in the 82nd minute of play. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Roberto Veiga having to interfere. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. The long shot by Tomé Vale in the 94th minute really tested Benito Sanz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. Osasco Hot Dogers played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
