With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristo Nofre saved CFR Sibiu from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luca Dănilă in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Cristo Nofre came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. CFR Sibiu's Cristo Nofre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 17th minute of the match CFR Sibiu got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hipólito Zambujal ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 20th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Nofre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanimir Rashkov in the 23rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CFR Sibiu's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Daniel Zorita sped through CFR Sibiu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristo Nofre. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costel Novăceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, CFR Sibiu's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Cristo Nofre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cristo Nofre in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Evert Kjellberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Evert Kjellberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Cristo Nofre. CFR Sibiu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Cristo Nofre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 41st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristo Nofre saved CFR Sibiu from getting behind. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of CFR Sibiu's Cristo Nofre. Cristo Nofre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 55 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Xavies Bedoya came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Cristo Nofre successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Cristo Nofre in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cristo Nofre, 0-5. 64 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Xavies Bedoya came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Cristo Nofre in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristo Nofre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 69th minute. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. Cristo Nofre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Nofre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristo Nofre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 83rd minute of play. The CFR Sibiu fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when CFR Sibiu's Costel Novăceanu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, CFR Sibiu's Hipólito Zambujal got a free kick in the 90th minute. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The CFR Sibiu fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
