A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Coleira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the match, Sugamuxi's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Justino Ungia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Teofilo Coleira scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 1-1. In the 30th minute, Hori Guillemez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Sugamuxi's Nataniel Hormaza got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Coleira in the 35th minute of play. Justino Ungia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Hori Guillemez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 44 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Justino Ungia was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Teofilo Coleira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teofilo Coleira to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Sugamuxi's Nataniel Hormaza got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Coleira in the 59th minute of play. During the 60th minute of the match Nataniel Hormaza completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nataniel Hormaza a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Nataniel Hormaza hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Sugamuxi's Hori Guillemez got a free kick in the 66th minute. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teofilo Coleira went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Sugamuxi's Cordero Jesus was substituted for Reuben Billington. After 77 minutes of play, Sugamuxi's Goyo Salais made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sugamuxi's Nerio Doro was substituted for Goyo Salais. 83 minutes into the game, Teofilo Coleira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cordero Jesus kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Nerio Doro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sugamuxi's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
