Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Madison's Benito Naldo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Primitivo Andino got a throw-in 2 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Agustín Saelices. After 3 minutes, Mete Gol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Madison and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Madison was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mete Gol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Leo Lesardo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ecuador's Julio Vera didn't even have to move. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 26th minute Benito Naldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Primitivo Andino made in the 30th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Felix Montenegro immediately put the ball in play. Mete Gol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Madison were awarded a corner. Leo Lesardo went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ás Ronaldo got free with Julio Vera in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Benito Naldo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Madison fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benito Naldo couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ás Ronaldo got free with Julio Vera in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Primitivo Andino got a throw-in 55 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cristian Sancho. After having played for 56 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ernesto Emmanuel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ás Ronaldo in the 64th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Madison's Ernesto Emmanuel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 69th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benito Naldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Naldo in the 71st minute of play. Ernesto Emmanuel made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Naldo in the 75th minute of the match. Ernesto Emmanuel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 78th minute. Ernesto Emmanuel came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Luis Andino. But to his dismay, Luis Andino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Madison made a substitution. Cristos Ponce replaced Omar Osasun. Madison made a substitution. Juan Fernando Quintero replaced Cristobal Chumo. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mete Gol in the 88th minute of play.
