The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hugo Ferrant kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Walczyk came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Miromir Lichorobiec received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Miromir Lichorobiec slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. If Miromir Lichorobiec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shaolin soccer's goalkeeper Wlodzimierz Osielski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Miromir Lichorobiecs short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 24th minute, Miromir Lichorobiec reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 2-0. 29 minutes into the match, Herbert Walczyk notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 33 minutes into the match, Shaolin soccer's Kryspin Krzynowek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Miromir Lichorobiec's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herbert Walczyk in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 36 minutes, Herbert Walczyk made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Miromir Lichorobiec got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 5-0. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Miromir Lichorobiec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Miromir Lichorobiec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miromir Lichorobiec did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 6-0 to the left of a surprised Benito Sanz 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. 59 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Miromir Lichorobiec came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 63 minutes, Miromir Lichorobiec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shaolin soccer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miromir Lichorobiec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Shaolin soccer fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Shaolin soccer's Miromir Lichorobiec looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Shaolin soccer's Szczepan Matuch was substituted for Herbert Walczyk. 72 minutes into the match, Shaolin soccer's Miromir Lichorobiec sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kryspin Krzynowek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miromir Lichorobiec, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Shaolin soccer's Miromir Lichorobiec. But to his dismay, Miromir Lichorobiec quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. In the 88th minute, Miromir Lichorobiec left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Shaolin soccer fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 11-0. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 12-0 when Miromir Lichorobiec sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. There was no doubt that Shaolin soccer were the better team. Shaolin soccer's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
