Jonathan Alphonse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Damian Bociort made a huge save. After 8 played minutes Haiti got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Alphonse. Haiti's Noel Seide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cazimir Floroiu in the 11th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Nicodim Gugulanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Noel Seide was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Philippe Ambroise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Haiti getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Rodney Emmanuel hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Cosmin Mazăre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club 23's supporters rose to their feet, but Cosmin Mazăre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noel Seide breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Haiti's Ernso Constant got a free kick in the 40th minute. Constantin Stelian made in the 46th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gigel Căliman however managed to control. A collision led to Club 23 getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Cosmin Mazăre hit a great ball.

The wind increased when Jonathan Alphonse made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicodim Gugulanu got free with Noel Seide in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cosmin Mazăre struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Noel Seide didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club 23. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Căliman in the 62nd minute of play forced Haiti's goalkeeper Noel Seide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cazimir Floroiu charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cazimir Floroiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Haiti's Saint Jean Pierre got a free kick in the 78th minute. 85 minutes into the game, Constantin Stelian threw the ball into play from the sideline. Haiti's Ernso Constant quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Codrin Encica made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Haiti's Ernso Constant. 92 minutes into the game, Cristinel Crainic was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club 23's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haiti the free kick. After a rather tough play, Club 23's Cristinel Crainic got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The Club 23 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club 23 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
