Manfredo Pinho hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in A.F. Pindamonhangaba's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gernando Guerra came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Dante Lacasa managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when A.F. Pindamonhangaba's Lorenzo Osasun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 25th minute of play forced A.F. Pindamonhangaba's goalkeeper Gernando Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The wind increased when Lorenzo Osasun made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Gernando Guerra in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A.F. Pindamonhangaba's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Alberto Tafalla scored to the left of an out of position Gernando Guerra, making the score, 0-2. After 59 played minutes A.F. Pindamonhangaba got a freekick which was hit by Juninho Paiva. Ulisses Matorin kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. A.F. Pindamonhangaba were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ciriaco Lekubegi took the corner. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luca Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
