Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Renato Nunez-Tesheira took the kick off in the first half of the match. 2 minutes into the game, Atletico Aragua FC's Lauro Acebal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafe Vallina got free with Julio Vera in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th minute of the match, Arnold Collins tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Haitz Langarica read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Atletico Aragua FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Christiano Fano hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Acebal in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haitz Langarica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Renato Nunez-Tesheira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Aragua FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Renato Nunez-Tesheira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 29 played minutes Atletico Aragua FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Echavarria. After 31 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haitz Langarica was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Acebal in the 35th minute of play. Haitz Langarica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Lauro Acebal took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Zachary Flores got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Atletico Aragua FC's goalkeeper Haitz Langarica had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Haitz Langarica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute of the match. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Haitz Langarica made a huge save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Nunez-Tesheira in the 68th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 71st minute. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Cristian Sancho put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Haitz Langarica. In the 75thth minute of the game Renato Nunez-Tesheira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnold Collins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renato Nunez-Tesheira in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After 92 minutes, Camilo Gisbert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Atletico Aragua FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ecuador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! In the 93rd minute there was a penalty for Atletico Aragua FC. Bizi Faubelo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Julio Vera. 3-3. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
