Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ's Alan Tetley got control of the ball when Lautaro Puig tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marty Fearns recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alan Tetley didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Costa Rica's Axel Tasis shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Alan Tetley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Abel Carballo fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Abel Carballo a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Alcocer in the 32nd minute of play forced ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ's goalkeeper Alan Tetley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marty Fearns hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Howard Walters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. Howard Walters who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 63 minutes into the game, Howard Walters was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. In the 63rd minute, Howard Walters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, Lautaro Puig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alan Tetley. ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Puig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 70th minute Aaron Alcocer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Tetley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Howard Walters left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Howard Walters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 91st match minute, ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Dry to maneuver through the defense. Alan Tetley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
