When Atletico Aragua FC's Lauro Acebal in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renato Nunez-Tesheira got free with Dante Lacasa in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haitz Langarica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christiano Fano hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Renato Nunez-Tesheira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Dante Lacasa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Haitz Langarica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Mexico booed when Atletico Aragua FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafe Vallina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haitz Langarica came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Luca Zorita. But to his dismay, Luca Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Renato Nunez-Tesheira made a kick off. With a little luck, Atletico Aragua FC's Haitz Langarica got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Atletico Aragua FC's Haitz Langarica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 64th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Luca Zorita notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Atletico Aragua FC's Haitz Langarica. Haitz Langarica was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Atletico Aragua FC's Miguel Echavarria got a free kick in the 80th minute. Haitz Langarica made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Facundo Cadaval hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, Lauro Acebal notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lautaro Mancebo scored 1-6 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Haitz Langarica, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
