In the 7th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the game, 范建皓 recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. 范建皓 showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 范建皓 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dominik Heinrich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominik Heinrich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 27 minutes into the match, TJ Lokomotiva DL's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Dominik Heinrich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Gervasio Flores hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominik Heinrich having to interfere. Dominik Heinrich made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Dominik Heinrich made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by 范建皓 in the 70th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Rocha in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 90th minute, Venezuela's Patricio Costa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. If Urbano Hever had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Venezuela walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
