When Axel Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Fernando Gamus took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. After a defensive mix-up in Apocalípticos & Caóticos's zone, Axel Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erasmo Loi came out of the goal and Axel Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Herbert Henskens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Çağrı Şehzat in the 51st minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
