Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jaime Pardo took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Jaime Pardo made a precise shot to the right of Benito Lauro. C A U's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Pardo in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Lauro saved C A U from getting behind. Hector Covarrubias struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Benito Lauro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. In the 11th minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Lauro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Hector Covarrubias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Covarrubias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Lauro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Pardo in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Paraguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Pardo in the 90th minute. Benito Lauro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94thth minute of the game Jaime Pardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C A U's Benito Lauro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paraguay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
