In the 6th minute, MEL - ULTIMATE's Renan Valladares ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Charles de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Henrique Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 10th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jailson Fernandez in the 13th minute. Carlos Eduardo Mineiro's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Eduardo Mineiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute of the match Tomas Illescas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henrique Arruda skillfully saved the ball. In the 21st minute, Renan Valladares made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After having played for 24 minutes, Jailson Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Jailson Fernandez notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 61 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. Thanks to Venezuela's goalie finding himself so far out he could grab the ball Hugo Arce tried to make a shot after getting passed the defense. Jonathan Ferrant seemed to really have strength and confidence after that save. MEL - ULTIMATE were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hugo Arce took the corner. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles de Barros in the 65th minute of play. When Renan Valladares came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the MEL - ULTIMATE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renan Valladares couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute Jailson Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MEL - ULTIMATE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hugo Arce in the 75th minute. After taking down the ball on MEL - ULTIMATE's corner Renan Valladares fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. If Renan Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 minutes of play, MEL - ULTIMATE's Jailson Fernandez made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of MEL - ULTIMATE booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jailson Fernandez in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute, Tomas Illescas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Henrique Arruda. The goal made the score 7-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jailson Fernandez in the 92nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
