Pepito Santandres struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Burning Angels. In the 10th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute of the match Marek Bachleda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Burning Angels booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miroslav Šípka in the 14th minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miroslav Šípka got free with Benito Sanz in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Pepito Santandres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Burning Angels booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Miroslav Šípka sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miroslav Šípka in the 24th minute of the match. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The supporters of Burning Angels booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Miroslav Šípka showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 27 minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Pepito Santandres recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Pepito Santandres showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Miroslav Šípka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Burning Angels's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pepito Santandres, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Pepito Santandres came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Burning Angels fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pepito Santandres couldn't finish the play. Miroslav Šípka who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 40th minute Pepito Santandres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Pepito Santandres capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pepito Santandres really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Miroslav Šípka tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pepito Santandres was the one to do the kick off. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Burning Angels's Miroslav Šípka. But to his dismay, Miroslav Šípka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Benito Sanz didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Burning Angels's Pepito Santandres shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 8-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Makaj, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Pepito Santandres came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Burning Angels the free kick. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 66th minute. 66 minutes into the game, Pepito Santandres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 71 minutes into the match, Pepito Santandres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pepito Santandres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. In the 73rd minute Pepito Santandres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 74th minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miroslav Šípka in the 75th minute of play. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Makaj, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Efrain Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Efrain Moruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0. In the 87th minute, Miroslav Šípka ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 12-0. Burning Angels walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
