Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anton Kvarnström started the match with the kick off. Sebastian Villa took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dries Ramps. Dries Ramps dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Anton Kvarnström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Lautaro Navarro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 11th minute of the match, Bertil Andreasson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lautaro Navarro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Anton Kvarnström sent off a good shot on target. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Trulsson in the 15th minute of play. When Anton Kvarnström fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IFK Stockholm's protests and gave Anton Kvarnström a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to IFK Stockholm getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Anton Kvarnström hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, IFK Stockholm's Felix Wallin got a free kick in the 17th minute. If Kim Trulsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dries Ramps took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dries Ramps showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 27th minute of play forced IFK Stockholm's goalkeeper Dries Ramps to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dries Ramps showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 34th minute of the match. In the 37thth minute of the game Sebastian Villa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IFK Stockholm's Dries Ramps was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A nice corner shot did that Moises Tafalla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dries Ramps quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dries Ramps was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Dries Ramps stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. 44 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anton Kvarnström. In the 45th minute, Bertil Andreasson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, IFK Stockholm's Osvaldo Otsoko got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Espiga made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in IFK Stockholm's zone, Sebastian Villa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dries Ramps came out of the goal and Sebastian Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Sancho in the 59th minute of play forced IFK Stockholm's goalkeeper Dries Ramps to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by IFK Stockholm's Anton Kvarnström. But to his dismay, Anton Kvarnström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The audience was convinced that Sebastian Villa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dries Ramps was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anton Kvarnström in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. 69 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Otsoko came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Kvarnström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Luca Espinar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Kvarnström came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute Kim Trulsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Luca Espinar got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Dries Ramps was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Moises Tafalla capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Moises Tafalla really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3.
