An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 12th minute of play forced CabaretVoltaire's goalkeeper Aurelio Vierchowod to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aurelio Vierchowod made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 15th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Vierchowod saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Vierchowod narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filippo Nazzari in the 18th minute of play. After 20 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ettore Lelli who took care of the corner kick. The corner led CabaretVoltaire's Cristiano Mantini to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 29th minute of play forced CabaretVoltaire's goalkeeper Aurelio Vierchowod to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Macos Graciani to maneuver through the defense. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cristiano Mantini fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CabaretVoltaire's protests and gave Cristiano Mantini a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, CabaretVoltaire's Cristiano Mantini got a free kick in the 39th minute. Eugenio Orioli hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armin Manzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of CabaretVoltaire's Aurelio Vierchowod. Aurelio Vierchowod was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 58th minute of play forced CabaretVoltaire's goalkeeper Aurelio Vierchowod to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. CabaretVoltaire's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mexico's Facundo Cadaval was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aurelio Vierchowod in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Lautaro Mancebo kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Aurelio Vierchowod made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 69th minute of play. After a rather tough play, CabaretVoltaire's Armin Manzi got a free kick in the 71st minute. When Jörgen Gustavsson fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CabaretVoltaire's protests and gave Jörgen Gustavsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd match minute, CabaretVoltaire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörgen Gustavsson to maneuver through the defense. CabaretVoltaire's Camillo Pollastrini was substituted for Armin Manzi. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Aurelio Vierchowod firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Mexico's Luca Zorita in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CabaretVoltaire's goalie prevented a goal. Camillo Pollastrini took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.
