Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bozhil Vaptzarov in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Luz Tejedor hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gonsalve Flores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gonsalve Flores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 29th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gonsalve Flores was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Peru's Milagros Fraga got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Emmanuel Reyes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The U.D. Mancini players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bozhil Vaptzarov to make the kick off. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bozhil Vaptzarov in the 52nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonsalve Flores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. U.D. Mancini's Agustín Pedrosa was substituted for Kadir Celilay. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 75th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Milagros Fraga. 80 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Pedrosa came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 83rd minute of play forced U.D. Mancini's goalkeeper Gonsalve Flores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bozhil Vaptzarov in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
