Semir Jakubović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, Predators's Nazmi Deryace got a free kick in the 61st minute. Semir Jakubović made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Ecuador played a much better game than Predators and deserved their victory. The Predators players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
