An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 17th minute of play forced LVCVS AVGVSTI's goalkeeper Rosario Escarza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Ferdinand Agachi in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Rosario Escarza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, LVCVS AVGVSTI's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Rosario Escarza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to LVCVS AVGVSTI getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Qian Hong Ting hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rosario Escarza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, LVCVS AVGVSTI's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Rosario Escarza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Baldomero Chano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. LVCVS AVGVSTI's Rosario Escarza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 37th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Du Yuan Chao got free with Rolando Noboa in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Du Yuan Chao sent off a good shot on target. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronny Skytt in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Felipe Gutierrez replaced Venancio Olayo. LVCVS AVGVSTI's Zef Zoff was substituted for Ronny Skytt. Rosario Escarza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 72nd minute. Rosario Escarza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Milagros Fraga got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rosario Escarza quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Zef Zoff took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zef Zoff in the 86th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Rosario Escarza successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eliseo Mina in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind LVCVS AVGVSTI's goalkeeper Rosario Escarza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
