The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Illescas during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 15th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Gertjan Lanphan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Stephen Waron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. After having played for 25 minutes, Pierre De Swert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Szuperbeton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pierre De Swert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jeoffrey Vermeulen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 29th minute of play forced Szuperbeton's goalkeeper Volodymyr Zelenskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th match minute, Szuperbeton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre De Swert to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Gertjan Lanphan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Szuperbeton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gertjan Lanphan in the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Szuperbeton's goalkeeper Volodymyr Zelenskiy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Volodymyr Zelenskiy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gertjan Lanphan in the 44th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Pierre De Swert charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pierre De Swert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pierre De Swert kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. During the 72nd minute of the match Pierre De Swert completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pierre De Swert a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Szuperbeton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gertjan Lanphan didn't get a good kick on the ball.
