Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Alexandro Gavilanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexandro Gavilanes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Tansel Aydemir might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tansel Aydemir ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tansel Aydemir in the 19th minute of play. Alexandro Gavilanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Tansel Aydemir came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tansel Aydemir in the 26th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Tansel Aydemir's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tansel Aydemir in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tansel Aydemir went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Alexandro Gavilanes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandro Gavilanes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute Paulo Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, ㄇㄜㄕ 01-07-24's Alexandro Gavilanes got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alexandro Gavilanes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 93 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador played a much better game than ㄇㄜㄕ 01-07-24 and deserved their victory. The ㄇㄜㄕ 01-07-24 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
