Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell You Kuan Sheng to make the kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Haritzeder in the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dawid Beckham Jr was slow to take the kick. During this time Sun Time's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Dawid Beckham Jr got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Cristian Lemnaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 72nd minute, Daniel Zorita fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
