In the 13th minute, Milagros Fraga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Georgi Velinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milagros Fraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Georgi Velinov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 played minutes FC CSKA got a freekick which was hit by Bradley de Nooijer.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. FC CSKA's Georgi Velinov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save FC CSKA from getting a goal against them. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 60th minute of play. Georgi Velinov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milagros Fraga in the 64th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Milagros Fraga could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Georgi Velinov however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milagros Fraga got free with Georgi Velinov in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luz Tejedor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Georgi Velinov made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Roderigo in the 74th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Georgi Velinov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 76th minute of play. FC CSKA made a substitution. Asparuh Genovski replaced Ahmet Refik Ülgü. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Julian Murillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Georgi Velinov. That made the score 0-2 after 80 minutes of play. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC CSKA's goalkeeper Georgi Velinov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Georgi Velinov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gallo in the 87th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Antonio Tenorio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georgi Velinov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The FC CSKA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
