Arcadio Buendia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cassius Byrne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arcadio Buendia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Garrincha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cassius Byrne took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arcadio Buendia. Arcadio Buendia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Edward Mcdonald could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Arcadio Buendia made a huge save. With a little luck, Alzaga FC's Arcadio Buendia got control of the ball when Cassius Byrne tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 87th minute Emanuel Oliverio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alzaga FC were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after USA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ziya Onur Ulutan took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ziya Onur Ulutan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marco Day quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ziya Onur Ulutan hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Sam Campbell made a precise shot to the right of Arcadio Buendia. Alzaga FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-8.
