Nicolas Sergipano ran back to his position shaking his head. 8 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Sergipano. The supporters of Mexico booed when Nottingham Forrest F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luís Berger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artur Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 11th minute of the match. Nicolas Sergipano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nottingham Forrest F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! In the 20th minute there was a penalty for Mexico. Joel Gaona stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Artur Bueno. 0-1. After having played for 27 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Artur Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Alberto Tafalla fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Alberto Tafalla a yellow card for diving instead. Alberto Tafalla hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute Nicolas Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Igor Neto who took care of the corner kick. 46 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artur Bueno. Nottingham Forrest F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

After 74 minutes of play, Mexico's Luca Zorita made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Artur Bueno was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nottingham Forrest F.C's Artur Bueno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Nottingham Forrest F.C from getting a goal against them. The Nottingham Forrest F.C supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mexico's performance. The match ended with a win for Mexico.
