Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Benjamin Neto came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Gastres FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Neto couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Belmiro in the 9th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Geronimo Ongile didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Geronimo Ongile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geronimo Ongile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Gastres FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Geronimo Ongile quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Geronimo Ongile showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Belmiro in the 20th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Gastres FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Geronimo Ongile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geronimo Ongile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 31st minute of the match. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teobaldo Belmiro in the 32nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calistrat Geangu during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ecuador's Diego Mancebo was substituted for Agustín Saelices. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Gastres FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calistrat Geangu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Teobaldo Belmiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gastres FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Teobaldo Belmiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomasz Zurawski hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Marcos Acuña hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teobaldo Belmiro got free with Julio Vera in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teobaldo Belmiro to strike the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita threw the ball into play from the sideline. Gastres FC's Egemen Aldemir quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 60th minute Teobaldo Belmiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geronimo Ongile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teobaldo Belmiro in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Neto came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geronimo Ongile made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 76th minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobaldo Belmiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Belmiro in the 82nd minute of the match. Gastres FC's Feliberto Cuarto was substituted for Tomasz Zurawski. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mathieu Koning was slow to take the kick. During this time Gastres FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Mathieu Koning almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Benjamin Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benjamin Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Primitivo Andino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gastres FC the free kick. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Belmiro in the 95th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 96 minutes of play Gastres FC's Calistrat Geangu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gastres FC.
