A collision led to Puianello FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Damiano Renzetti hit a great ball. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Göksel Taşdan came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darrel Pennington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Damiano Renzetti hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the game, Fortunato Boldrini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Puianello FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peru the free kick. 48 minutes into the match, Puianello FC's goalkeeper Darrel Pennington had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Darrel Pennington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 58th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Gallo in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Darrel Pennington saved Puianello FC from getting behind. 95 minutes into the match, Puianello FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Gallo came free, but Darrel Pennington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Puianello FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Peru had controlled the match.
