Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Gastres FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 5th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geronimo Ongile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Ongile having to interfere. Geronimo Ongile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geronimo Ongile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Neto came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gastres FC's Geronimo Ongile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 19th minute of play. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Teobaldo Belmiro sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geronimo Ongile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 28 minutes into the match, Teobaldo Belmiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teobaldo Belmiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 31 minutes into the match, Gastres FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Geronimo Ongile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamin Neto got free with Julio Vera in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 34th minute. Geronimo Ongile showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teobaldo Belmiro. Geronimo Ongile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 43rd minute of play forced Gastres FC's goalkeeper Geronimo Ongile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zacarias Claus kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teobaldo Belmiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Teobaldo Belmiro scored 2-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56thth minute of the game Teobaldo Belmiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 58th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Geronimo Ongile saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 61 minutes into the game, when Marcos Acuña put in a rough tackle. After 62 played minutes Gastres FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Acuña. In the 63rd minute, Marcos Acuña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gastres FC's Geronimo Ongile didn't even have to move. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Geronimo Ongile firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 67th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Gastres FC's Mathieu Koning got a free kick in the 70th minute. 74 minutes into the game, Antonio Arias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Geronimo Ongile was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Primitivo Andino made in the 76th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gastres FC's Egemen Aldemir. After having played for 76 minutes, Teobaldo Belmiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gastres FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teobaldo Belmiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
