Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terho Pasoja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute Estrada Azcona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Tomas Illescas scored 3-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 庄冰悦, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
