Kartal Başar took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Peru booed when Twierdza Osowiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billy Hendrickx didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Hendrickx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Twierdza Osowiec were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Peru's much stronger midfield.
