Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Basilio Pepillo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Efrain Maria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 11th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Gladiadores Legionarios's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. 20 minutes into the match, Gladiadores Legionarios's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Efrain Maria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Efrain Maria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Efrain Maria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Efrain Maria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Gladiadores Legionarios's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Efrain Maria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Efrain Maria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gladiadores Legionarios's Ambrosio Gasteiz was substituted for Generoso Cresitobalo. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Sacit Refik made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Gladiadores Legionarios's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Efrain Maria came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Niklas Dalkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Gladiadores Legionarios's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Efrain Maria came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th match minute, Gladiadores Legionarios was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basilio Pepillo to maneuver through the defense. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Efrain Maria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After 72 minutes of play, Gladiadores Legionarios's Basilio Pepillo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basilio Pepillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Basilio Pepillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gladiadores Legionarios fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 77 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Efrain Maria was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 82 minutes into the match, Gladiadores Legionarios's goalkeeper Efrain Maria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. In the 83rd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efrain Maria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabio Bernabel during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gladiadores Legionarios's Fabio Bernabel got a free kick in the 90th minute. Fabio Bernabel kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Gladiadores Legionarios players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
