That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. 14 minutes into the match, SANTOS FC- FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Erivaldo Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after SANTOS FC- FDFDF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Montenegro took the corner. The corner ended in Santino Seco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Erivaldo Catarinense did a great save. In the 17th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Colombia booed when SANTOS FC- FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erivaldo Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Antonio Indiano made in the 24th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Kevin Mastache. In the 26th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Axel Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Erivaldo Catarinense. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 35 minutes of play, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erivaldo Catarinense was left in no man's land by his defense there! SANTOS FC- FDFDF's attentive Seçkin Ünlüol managed to snatch the ball when Joshua Garrido made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. After a rather tough play, SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Anibal Txartiko got a free kick in the 45th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erivaldo Catarinense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Neil Mcinnes made the kick off in the second half. Joshua Garrido made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Silvério do Valle. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Mcinnes in the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Silvério do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luis Cazalla made in the 68th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Silvério do Valle. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Neil Mcinnes went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by SANTOS FC- FDFDF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kevin Mastache was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neil Mcinnes in the 89th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erivaldo Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 90th minute of the match. Erivaldo Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kevin Mastache ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Kevin Mastache almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Erivaldo Catarinense did a great save. Erivaldo Catarinense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignacio Mastache's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SANTOS FC- FDFDF.
