The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicu Gheondea got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Venezuela booed when ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorel Bojonca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gelu Pască charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gelu Pască the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gelu Pască to maneuver through the defense. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Adam Todoran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute of play. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Dorel Bojonca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joshua Secada fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 40th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adam Todoran having to make a save. ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's Adam Todoran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Todoran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Nicu Gheondea made the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Tomas Illescas sped through ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adam Todoran. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, Jose Correa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adam Todoran was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 65th minute. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Todoran having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adam Todoran saved ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007 from getting behind. 0-4 became the score in the 73rd minute when Tomas Illescas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 85 minutes into the game, one of ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 87 minutes, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Adam Todoran. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adam Todoran made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Venezuela left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007.
