Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Anatol Hönes came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mathias Lecanu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 14th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guy Durant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. 29 minutes into the game, Anatol Hönes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Guy Durant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 38th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anatol Hönes in the 45th minute of play. Mathias Lecanu struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lyon 69ers. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anatol Hönes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Guy Durant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 53 minutes into the game, Mathias Lecanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy Durant having to interfere. After 62 minutes, Romaric Orsoni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lyon 69ers and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 62 played minutes Lyon 69ers got a freekick which was hit by Romaric Orsoni. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy Durant having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anatol Hönes in the 69th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Mathias Lecanu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Guy Durant in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Lyon 69ers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. When Tom Beaune came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Lyon 69ers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tom Beaune couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anatol Hönes in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Lyon 69ers's Guy Durant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Lyon 69ers from getting a goal against them. Ecuador were furious when Antonio Arias was red carded, 87 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 87th minute, one of Ecuador:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ecuador. The referee gave Lyon 69ers a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Anatol Hönes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. 3-0. After 97th play minutes Anatol Hönes shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ecuador players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lyon 69ers.
