Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. In the 4th minute, Váldson Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvério Gomes in the 9th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvério Gomes's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvério Gomes in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Cacá Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Correa, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson Mendes came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the 【¡Hālā Μāđяιđ CF!】 defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cacá Ribeiro. The 【¡Hālā Μāđяιđ CF!】 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cacá Ribeiro should have stopped the shot. Dadá Lucas made in the 36th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, 【¡Hālā Μāđяιđ CF!】's Dadá Lucas got a free kick in the 38th minute. The supporters of 【¡Hālā Μāđяιđ CF!】 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, 【¡Hālā Μāđяιđ CF!】's Cacá Ribeiro got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Cacá Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dadá Lucas hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Dadá Lucas charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dadá Lucas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th match minute, 【¡Hālā Μāđяιđ CF!】 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dadá Lucas to maneuver through the defense. Juninho Machado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Tomas Illescas sped through 【¡Hālā Μāđяιđ CF!】's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cacá Ribeiro. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cacá Ribeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cacá Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Venezuela fans cheered their team off the field, for while 【¡Hālā Μāđяιđ CF!】 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
