Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Roberto Puch kicked off to start the match. The throw-in from Blair York in the 3rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. A nice corner shot did that Jake Hursey got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Puch in the 18th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Puch in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. Roberto Puch scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Alex Chicote fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Alex Chicote a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 27th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Puch, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 30th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. After 32 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Puch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35thth minute of the game Roberto Puch who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Roberto Puch notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Lanús's Arnaldo Mendebal was substituted for Esteve Herrera. The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Gaskon in the 53rd minute of play. Lanús's attentive Benjamin Venceslas managed to snatch the ball when Alex Chicote made a throw-in in the 55th minute of the game. 57 minutes into the match, Eloy Gaskon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 0-3. Eloy Gaskon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. 62 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eloy Gaskon. Baldomero Suarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Eloy Gaskon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eloy Gaskon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. 70 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Gaskon came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 76th minute, Eloy Gaskon made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. When Eloy Gaskon came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Lanús fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eloy Gaskon couldn't finish the play. After 81 played minutes Lanús got a freekick which was hit by Blair York. 82 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baldomero Suarez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eloy Gaskon in the 92nd minute. Lanús's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jake Hursey in the 94th minute. Eloy Gaskon struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lanús.
