Julio Vera came out of the goal and Donat Collier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Nova Soccer's Donat Collier slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Edinson Flores sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donat Collier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Arrigo Dorigatti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Edinson Flores came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Nova Soccer fans jumped to their feet.
