Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Piero Quispe kicked off to start the match. Maurilio Duque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Nova Soccer's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Cristian Sancho got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-1. 7 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Nova Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Maurilio Duque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maurilio Duque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Cristian Sancho sped through Nova Soccer's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maurilio Duque. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nova Soccer fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Ecuador a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Zorita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nova Soccer's Maurilio Duque. 0-4. In the 38th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maurilio Duque was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 61st minute, Piero Quispe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67thth minute of the game Piero Quispe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maurilio Duque was a little too slow when Felix Montenegro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-6. In the 75th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maurilio Duque. Maurilio Duque dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Maurilio Duque made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Maurilio Duque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 87th minute of play. In the 87th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurilio Duque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 88 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piero Quispe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donat Collier in the 92nd minute of the match. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
