Fanis Geronimidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 2nd minute of play. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Waldemar Schmidt made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. Luz Tejedor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fanis Geronimidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Belotaurus FC's Fanis Geronimidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Belotaurus FC from getting a goal against them. In the 37th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fanis Geronimidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo Mina hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belotaurus FC's goalkeeper Fanis Geronimidis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Waldemar Schmidt made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silviu Novac to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 52nd minute of play forced Belotaurus FC's goalkeeper Fanis Geronimidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fanis Geronimidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 54th minute of the match. Fanis Geronimidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 58th minute of play. The supporters of Peru booed when Belotaurus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fanis Geronimidis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 74th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. 76 minutes into the match, Belotaurus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Fanis Geronimidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fanis Geronimidis came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Luz Tejedor. But to his dismay, Luz Tejedor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 86th minute of play forced Belotaurus FC's goalkeeper Fanis Geronimidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Belotaurus FC's Fanis Geronimidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milagros Fraga in the 87th minute of play. Milagros Fraga scored 4-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fanis Geronimidis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. In the 93rd minute, Rafael Gallo made a precise shot to the right of Fanis Geronimidis. Belotaurus FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Rafael Gallo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fanis Geronimidis quite easily take care of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Peru had won after a very even match.
