An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute of play forced Zurdo FC's goalkeeper Jozef Wandzik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Tiburcio Ubelteso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jozef Wandzik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 30th minute of play forced Zurdo FC's goalkeeper Jozef Wandzik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jozef Wandzik in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Zurdo FC's Fernandinho Rodrigues got a free kick in the 34th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Zurdo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Jozef Wandzik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 41st minute. The corner ended in Tomas Illescas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Zurdo FC's Jozef Wandzik did a great save. After 43 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. In the 44th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jozef Wandzik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jozef Wandzik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 54th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Illescas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jozef Wandzik. That made the score 2-1 in the 58 minute of play. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jozef Wandzik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Rodrigues in the 65th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Zurdo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandinho Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zurdo FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 95th minute. Zurdo FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
