Socanelas FC's Edvaldo Tande proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Socanelas FC from getting a goal against them. In the 12th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Tanek Dziechciowski made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 22 played minutes Socanelas FC got a freekick which was hit by 蔡银镇. With a little luck, Socanelas FC's Edvaldo Tande got control of the ball when Axel Tasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vinícius Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 29th minute. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tanek Dziechciowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Rubio made in the 32nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Lautaro Puig however managed to control. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinícius Urbano in the 34th minute of the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Tanek Dziechciowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Socanelas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tanek Dziechciowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tanek Dziechciowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tanek Dziechciowski ran back to his position shaking his head. 43 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Tanek Dziechciowski came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tanek Dziechciowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had been going on for 53 minutes, Socanelas FC's Mor Šego got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Benito Sanz. 63 minutes into the match, Socanelas FC's Tanek Dziechciowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 71st minute. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mor Šego in the 73rd minute. Edvaldo Tande dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Socanelas FC's Tanek Dziechciowski got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tanek Dziechciowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tanek Dziechciowski in the 91st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Tanek Dziechciowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Socanelas FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Socanelas FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
