Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Baba Ba started the match with the kick off. In the last second Julio Vera throw himself and got hold of the ball when Baba Ba in the 4thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. A well-hit corner resulted in Ivon Gasca heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Joppe Hvenegaard kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lorenz Ureta saved Ajax Colombiano from getting behind. After some careless play in the Ajax Colombiano defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lorenz Ureta. The Ajax Colombiano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lorenz Ureta should have stopped the shot. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Baba Ba who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 19th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baba Ba received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Baba Ba slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 22nd minute. After 28 played minutes Ajax Colombiano got a freekick which was hit by Rayman Rioseras. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitri Payet in the 30th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenz Ureta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Lorenz Ureta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorenz Ureta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The long shot by Dimitri Payet in the 44th minute really tested Julio Vera's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Ajax Colombiano's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenz Ureta came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ajax Colombiano made a substitution. Hector Ferman replaced Pudes Checa. Baba Ba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lorenz Ureta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 62nd minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 64th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Luis Andino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baba Ba in the 69th minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baba Ba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 minutes, Juan Sebastián Puig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Ajax Colombiano players grew even worse after the yellow card. 75 minutes into the game, one of Ecuador:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Ajax Colombiano a penalty, 77 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dimitri Payet, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. 3-1. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Ba came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baba Ba scored 4-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Lorenz Ureta made a huge save.
