The supporters of Jarana FC booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Li Sen Ling struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jarana FC. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Tadeo Distiratsu made a huge save. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jarana FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Cazalla was slow to take the kick. During this time Uruguay's players had a chance to rest. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Valko De Hond in the 55th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alberto Gisbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarana FC made a substitution. Sigve Rossland replaced Aurelio Harriet. When Uruguay's Francisco Seco in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Jarana FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
