Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Li Sen Ling went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Li Sen Ling in the 11th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aurelio Harriet went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Aurelio Harriet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Harriet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30thth minute of the game Valko De Hond who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tadeo Distiratsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Li Sen Ling kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute Li Sen Ling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joop Deswarte kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Li Sen Ling made the kick off in the second half. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Harriet, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. In the 54th minute Miguel Miralles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Distiratsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Li Sen Ling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Valko De Hond ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Gitano in the 81st minute of play. Wilfredo Gitano took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. In the 87th minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Distiratsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Wilfredo Gitano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilfredo Gitano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7.
