Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Afşin Derem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Afşin Derem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Lion FC defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ufuk Rasih. The Lion FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ufuk Rasih should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 34 in the game by Hızır Dilazad from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 35th minute of play forced Lion FC's goalkeeper Ufuk Rasih to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lion FC's goalie prevented a goal. Lion FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hızır Dilazad in the 54th minute. Lion FC's Ufuk Rasih played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 56th minute of play. Ufuk Rasih made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 60th minute. After 61 minutes, Jose Correa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Lion FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Afşin Derem took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Ufuk Rasih made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hızır Dilazad in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute, Güral Ertüze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ufuk Rasih showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 85th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hızır Dilazad went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afşin Derem, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
