Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) USA's Cassius Byrne started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Cassius Byrne had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percy Fernandez. Sport Clube Recife's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cassius Byrne was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Doctor Strange's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 9thth minute of the game Doctor Strange who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but USA's Marco Day was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doctor Strange in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Doctor Strange sped through USA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marco Day. 13 minutes into the match, Sport Clube Recife's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Percy Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Sport Clube Recife was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dong Yang Bang to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cassius Byrne in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Percy Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Gualter Penha came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gualter Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Cassius Byrne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Percy Fernandez was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 42nd minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pablo Lampard got free with Marco Day in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After a rather tough play, Sport Clube Recife's Remo Carvalho got a free kick in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Sport Clube Recife's goalkeeper Percy Fernandez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cassius Byrne. In the 63rd minute, Reginaldo Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for USA! In the 80th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Khalid Parry to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Sport Clube Recife getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Dong Yang Bang hit a great ball. Percy Fernandez made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Sam Campbell sent off a good shot on target. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Lampard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Pablo Lampard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Sport Clube Recife were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of USA for a fine match.
