Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Guaberto Otoniel kicked off to start the match. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Otoniel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the match, El CUERVO perfeto's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Gavino Mendez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gavino Mendez. Gavino Mendez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Gavino Mendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Mendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gavino Mendez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 30 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of El CUERVO perfeto's Gavino Mendez. Gavino Mendez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gavino Mendez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 40th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Mendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, El CUERVO perfeto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosimo Eleuteri to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Gavino Mendez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 52nd minute. 58 minutes into the match, El CUERVO perfeto's goalkeeper Gavino Mendez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. In the 60th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gavino Mendez. Gavino Mendez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Gavino Mendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Guaberto Otoniel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guaberto Otoniel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. 70 minutes into the game, Guaberto Otoniel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El CUERVO perfeto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when El CUERVO perfeto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Otoniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gavino Mendez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 74th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of El CUERVO perfeto's goalie and right to Cristian Sancho. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. El CUERVO perfeto's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind El CUERVO perfeto's goalkeeper Gavino Mendez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Gavino Mendez made a huge save. In the 81st minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Otoniel in the 82nd minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after El CUERVO perfeto's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Antonio Ariass short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Gavino Mendez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Gavino Mendez made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 93 minutes, Emilio Gabirel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El CUERVO perfeto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Gabirel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
