After a rather tough play, Arrecifes's Modesto Gipuzkoa got a free kick in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arif Ozan Oğuztan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raul Vigil made in the 20th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cadfan Cornell however managed to control. Arif Ozan Oğuztan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 26th match minute, Arrecifes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Vigil to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Arif Ozan Oğuztan in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Eufrasio went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Arrecifes's Pantelis Christopoulos got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After 35 minutes Arrecifes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Eufrasio in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goalkeeper Arif Ozan Oğuztan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. 45 minutes into the match, Hipolito Laurendi notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Hipolito Laurendi made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Carlos Eufrasio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Hipolito Laurendi sent off a good shot on target. The throw-in from Raul Vigil in the 58th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Arrecifes's Cirilo Ritchie was substituted for Cadfan Cornell. In the 65th minute of the match Arrecifes got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Modesto Gipuzkoa ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Arrecifes's Natanael Matorin got a free kick in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Cirilo Ritchie dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa, 0-3. Arif Ozan Oğuztan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Ritchie in the 77th minute of play. The throw-in from Raul Vigil in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Cirilo Ritchie took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Rafael Gallo scored 1-4 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arif Ozan Oğuztan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arif Ozan Oğuztan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Arrecifes had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
