Lu Hong Qiang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 17th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lu Hong Qiang breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tymoteusz Mikulski hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Lu Hong Qiang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Barnaba Falke almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. The audience was convinced that Islam Slimani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Islam Slimani sent off a good shot on target. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Islam Slimani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tomas Illescas, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 63 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Lu Hong Qiang was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 65 minutes into the game, Tymoteusz Mikulski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mauro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Tymoteusz Mikulski hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After 67 minutes, Islam Slimani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mauro and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Mauro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Islam Slimani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Islam Slimani, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After 75 played minutes, Mauro's Barnaba Falke shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mauro reached it. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Lu Hong Qiang made a huge save. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Lu Hong Qiang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karol Kinic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karol Kinic in the 95th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Mauro players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
